Requirements to adopt a Vietnamese child

Article 14 of Vietnam Adoption Law details what adopting a Vietnamese children requires. The adoptive parents need to:

– Have full civil rights
– Be more than 20 years older than the child
– Have a good health, financial status and residency to ensure the caring, rearing and educating of the adopted child.
– Meet moral standards Besides these terms, foreigners; Vietnamese residing abroad; or foreigners residing in Vietnam must meet the requirements where the family will be based.
